I enjoy telling stories about interesting people, subcultures and trends. I also write broadly on arts and culture. My work has appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, FT, Monocle, The Monthly, and Port, amongst others. 

I have worked as a radio reporter and producer for BBC Radio 4. I have also been a reporter at the UN in New York and a news assistant at The New York Times.

I am from Melbourne, Australia, although I am now based in California. I hold a B.A in International Studies from The University of Melbourne and a Masters in Literature and History (Mst) from the University of Oxford.
