Writer and researcher with experience producing reported features, news and profiles.
I conceptualise, pitch, research, report, and fact-check most of the pieces I publish. I enjoy covering culture, pacific affairs, travel, and modern business, as well as telling stories about interesting people and subcultures. To date, my work has appeared in The Guardian, The New York Times, Monocle, Financial Times, Courier, and Port Magazine, amongst others.
In addition to freelance editorial, I've worked as a radio reporter and producer for BBC Radio 4, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, and as a news assistant at The New York Times.
I hold a B. A (Hons) from The University of Melbourne and am currently studying for a Masters in Literature and History (Mst) at the University of Oxford.
